Hockey Victoria and Kukri Sports form new partnership

Hockey Victoria has made a positive start to 2010 by securing a sponsorship partnership with international sports company Kukri Australia Pty Ltd.

The multi-year partnership will ensure that all Victorian State Teams are equipped with premium quality uniforms akin to the Hockeyroos and the Kookaburras, which also benefit from the Kukri brand.

Ben Hartung, Hockey Victoria CEO is delighted with the new partnership and looks forward to working with Kukri:

Kukri, which supplies uniforms to our national teams, will be the exclusive uniform supplier to Hockey Victoria and all of Hockey Victoria state teams and in addition they have agreed to come on board as an official sponsor of Hockey Victoria. We thank Kukri for their support of Victorian hockey and we look forward to working with the Kukri team in the creation of premium quality uniforms.”

Hockey Victoria’s Under 18 Men’s and Women’s State Teams will be the first teams to wear the new Kukri Victorian uniforms in April. Both teams will now have the right gear to match their playing style during their respective Under 18 Australian Championships in Canberra for the Men and Port Lincoln for Women.

In 2009 Kukri Australia Pty Ltd provided the playing uniforms for the MCC Hockey Club and they are keen to assist any clubs that are interested in using their services.
