Junior Unit
Waverley has always boasted a thriving and competitive Junior Unit over it’s history (1961). Hockey is a fun sport for all ages, and Waverley has one of the largest junior memberships in Melbourne with 20 teams registered in 2009.
Waverley proudly caters for all levels of skill and ages amongst the Junior ranks. In addition, Waverley enjoys an unrivalled depth of knowledge from coaching staff that includes ex-olympians, current VIS scholarship holders as well as current and ex-State League 1 players.
This year, the Club celebrate 50 prominent year’s in Victorian Hockey which is highlighted by over 50 premierships shared by the Junior’s teams. The unit looks as strong as ever with Roger Andrews as the Junior President and Greg Ingram (Junior Coaching Co-ordinator), who will be producing the talent of the future.
