Welcome to the Waverley Hockey Club Junior Unit

It is with pleasure that we welcome you to the Waverley Hockey Club Junior Unit.

Waverley Hockey Club is one of the premier hockey clubs in Victoria. Waverley caters for players of all ages and skill level, with top level senior men’s and women’s teams as well as junior teams from under 9 to under 17 age groups. Waverley also runs a program for children new to hockey called Minkey and a Summer Round Robin competition called Summer Stix.

Since it’s humble beginnings in 1958 Waverley has risen to become a proud and prominent club throughout the Victorian competition. Over its history it has boasted seven Australian Representatives and has produced countless Victorian Representatives as well as VIS scholarship holders.

Waverley proudly caters for all levels of skill and ages amongst the Junior ranks. In addition, Waverley enjoys an unrivalled depth of knowledge from coaching staff that includes ex-olympians, current VIS scholarship holders as well as current and ex-State League 1 players.

Playing hockey is exciting for all age groups and junior hockey something we are very passionate about! Whether you are new to hockey or an inexperienced player, we all have one thing in common – we love hockey and are committed to the fun that you will have as either a player or the parent of a young player. Every one of us plays an important role in keeping hockey strong.

Hedley Hull Field

At the Waverley Hockey Club AGM on November 7, it was announced that an application had been made to the City of Monash to name the hockey ground at Ashwood Reserve, HEDLEY HULL FIELD in recognition of Hedley’s efforts in promoting and growing both the sport of hockey and the Waverley Hockey Club.

2011 Junior Club Presentation

Junior presentation night is on Sunday 9th October at the Glen Waverley Community Centre. There are two sessions:

U11 & U13 Presentation 5:00 – 6:15pm
U15 & U17 Presentation 6:30 – 7:45pm
