The MPA Panthers played their third game in 7 days to really test themselves physically against the top of the competition, Greensborough at home.

Waverley were primed to clash with Greensborough however the game presented a story of missed opportunities and solid defences.

Greensborough came out of the blocks a little sharper and gave Waverley problems early in the first half. The Panther held strong and began to regroup with a arm wrestle ensuing. The half finished at a stalemate.

The second half saw Waverley completely control the game to their liking. Overwhelming pressure in the forward line and a stonewall defence gave the Panthers countless attacking movements down the right.

The Blue Boy’s simply could not find the final touch to score the goal they deserved.

The final whistle sounded without a score registered.
