Waverley set out very early to silence the Werribee crowd with an early goal, followed by two more unanswered goals in the first half. Werribee was at a loss to counter the solid defensive play of Mark Hocking and Seb Mutimer, the return of Chris Hocking only strengthening the defense and giving flexibility up forward.

In the second half it was more of the same. Plenty of space for Dan Alban at LH saw several attacking moves through LW, Cid scoring a spectacular backstick tomahawk goal.

Waverley 5 – Werribee 0

Goals – R. Lamiejn 2, J. Lyon 2, C. Ferra 1

Best – N. Eddy, M. Hocking, C. Ferra.
