Spence and Anth look forward to their return

Posted June 13, 2008 at 10:16 am by Rhys Eddy

After the weeks break the Met 2 South boys will travel to Mentone to take on a team that has come of two good wins over the past two rounds and on a bit of a roll. Anthony Field will return to the side as James Webb takes the week off with an ankle complaint and Andrew Spence has recovered from a knee scare in round 7 to take his place in the middfield for the panthers.

After an impressive win against Cerberus in Round 7 the boys are fired up to continue scoring some goals from some good field play and through a better corner set up. In a competition that has been filled with some varied results it is important for the panthers tp get off to a good start and for some score board pressure to come from some of the forwards like Mr G, Anthony, Whetton and Fox.

A win for the rampaging panthers would cement second spot but a loss would bring them right back into the pack. Big game and big test away from home.
