Summer Stix is for current Juniors to play hockey during the “off” season and a chance for less experienced players or children who would like to try hockey “to have a go”. This competition is an opportunity to have fun, improve skills and new players to try hockey. So if you have a family member, friend, school mate or neighbour wanting to try hockey, please tell them about Waverley Summer Stix.

Players who register will be placed in a team of 8 in accordance with their age, we need players for the age groups stated below. Teams will play 15 minute halves on a one third of a normal ground size; indoor hockey rules apply, which includes no hitting. An attempt will be made to ensure that teams are evenly balanced with children of all standards with current players to assist/support new players.

Hockey Victoria is seeking nominations from men and women aged Under 16 and under 14 to trial for the State Indoor teams to attend the NAtional Championships in central NSW in JAnuary 2009

The nomination form is attached and can also be found on the HV website

Congratulations to all our junior players who have successfully trialled for the regional Southern Sharks team. They will now train twice weekly with their Sharks squad in preparation for the State Championships during Term#2 holidays.
