Hockey Victoria is pleased to announce that the following players are invited back for the second round of trials for the U14 Victorian Indoor State Teams.

We congratulate all of the players so far and wish all those who did not make the second round all the best in their future hockey aspirations.

All of the girls who trialled are invited back for the second round of trials.

Please note that the second round of trials are scheduled for Sunday 23rd August.

BOYS

Toni Cumpston and Andrew Steele will be holding a Coaches Workshop on Tuesday 21st of July at the Waverley Clubrooms, commencing at 7.00pm

The workshop is an open invitation for all current and potential coaches from all of the women’s divisions (seniors, juniors and minkey’s).

The topics to be covered by Toni will include: Systems, structures, positioning, designing and training drills.

We are also looking for representatives within the club to make match reports on their teams performance each round. We a hoping to have weekly updates from a variety of teams in the Men’s, Women’s and Juniors to help keep the whole club up-to-date on your teams performance.

Hockey Victoria Underage Fixture for 2009

The 2010 Junior Registration day is to be held on Saturday 6th February from 10am to 2pm at the Waverley Hockey Club ground, corner  Winbirra Pde & High Street Road Ashwood. All current and new players in age groups from under 6 to under 17 are invited to the club to register for the coming winter season. Registering on this day is important as it allows the club to enter the correct amount of teams and make sure all players get a playing spot. The 2010 Winter Season will commence on April 16 & 17. Any enquiries can be made via the website contact form.

If you missed the announcement of the junior award winners at the presentation night then you can now find all the names on the awards page of the junior section. Congratulations to all those who received awards!

Summer Stix kicked off last Friday Night with 198, yes read again 198, juniors turning out on the night. Great job by the junior organizing group to have the large numbers turn out with many not having played hockey before.
